This website is provided by the North Carolina Green Industry
Council as a public service resource for home and business owners
to learn how to use water more efficiently in the establishment and
care of their lawns and landscapes.
The threat of drought conditions like we have experienced in
recent years and the anticipated growth to the population of North
Carolina over the next twenty years require us to be better
stewards of our water resources now.
Well managed landscapes add beauty and value to our communities,
businesses and homes while improving the environment and
contributing to the economy. Plants and turf filter the air and
water of harmful pollutants, produce oxygen and help conserve
energy by shading and cooling our homes in summer. Parks, green
spaces and our own landscapes enhance our quality of life and well
being everyday!
We hope you enjoy Saving Water NC and find useful information
here as you plan and care for your lawn and landscape. Be smart,
water wise. Use water efficiently and keep your lawn and landscape
healthy while conserving water, conserving energy and saving
money!
